Urban residents can learn more about agriculture on Saturday, April 8 at The Mall at Lawson Heights in Saskatoon.
The long-running event is organized by groups representing canola, pulse, pork, milk, egg and flax producers.
Highlights include cooking demonstrations, children activity zones and various interactive displays.
The free event is designed for everyone with a special emphasis on families with younger children.
"These are the people who are buying food and who have questions about agriculture," said Katelyn Duncan, provincial ag awareness specialist with the Saskatchewan Ministry of Agriculture. "Maybe they are unsure about some modern agriculture practices, so this is a great opportunity for them to ask questions, learn more and get to experience it in a hands-on way."
Ag in the City runs from 10am to 4pm at The Mall at Lawson Heights. Go to www.celebrateagriculture.ca for a full schedule of events and photos from last year.
