• There is 9.7 million acres of summerfallow in Saskatchewan this year.  That is an increase of 135.9% over last year.

The agriculture industry is always at the mercy of the weather. This year is no exception. Parts of Saskatchewan have had below average snowfall last winter along with below average rainfall this spring.

With recent agriculture commodity prices at record levels, farmers would love nothing better than a bumper crop. With the help of some rain it still might happen.
