A woman from Indiana didn’t want her canceled $30,000 wedding to go to waste, so she threw a party for a good cause!
Sarah Cummins lives in Carmel, a suburb just north of Indianapolis. After her wedding was called off she decided she would STILL hold the reception, but instead of family and friends she invited homeless people and veterans!
On the menu: bourbon-glazed meatballs, roasted garlic bruschetta and wedding cake.
Cummins says that after her wedding was cancelled a week ago, the former couple was left with a non-refundable bill from the hotel. So, rather than throw away food for 170 guests, Cummins and her ex-fiance decided to donate the food.
Cummins says she is still not sure what she will do with her wedding dress, adding that it's "too painful to think about."
