Major news in the music world… Spotify has been hit with a $1.6-billion lawsuit!
Wixen Music Publishing alleges that the streaming service is using tens of thousands of songs without a license or compensation, including Tom Petty's "Free Fallin" and the Doors' "Light My Fire."
This is not the first time Spotify has been taken to court. Last May, they paid a $43-million settlement to resolve a class-action lawsuit by songwriters.
In July there were two more lawsuits, including one from Bob Gaudio of Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons.
