SaskEnergy says heat has been restored to all 4,500 of its customers in the Melfort, Kinistino, and St Brieux areas who were left without natural gas services after a line ruptured Wednesday morning.
Around 4500 customers were affected in the Melfort, Kinistino and St. Brieux areas. The rupture itself was to a pipeline between Weldon and Birch Hills on Wednesday morning. It has been repaired and SaskEnergy is investigating the cause. If customers think they small natural gas, they are asked to contact SaskEnergy immediately: 1-888-700-0426. Technicians will continue running safety checks for customers in the area who had their furnaces automatically restart, or whose natural gas service was not disrupted.
