Yorkton RCMP seized about 200-thousand cigarettes and over $5-thousand along with a vehicle and cargo trailer on Saturday night.
Around 8 that night, the Yorkton Municipal RCMP responded to a call for help from CN Rail Police regarding a traffic stop in Yorkton and the seizure of illegal tobacco products. A 61 year old woman has been arrested and charged with possession and transport of tobacco exceeding 10-thousand cigarettes for sale, possession of proceeds of crime and possession of unstamped tobacco product. Monique Blanch Milliken from Beatty appeared in Yorkton Provincial Court today and is back in court on May 8th. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
