MD Ambulance reports that there was a two vehicle crash involving a gravel truck and a car east of Saskatoon on Highway 5 at the 316 turnoff just before 8 this morning and police are now reporting the driver of the car has succumbed to his injuries.
Saskatoon RCMP were dispatched just after 8 this morning to the crash about 15 kilometres east of the city. The initial investigation indicates a westbound car lost control and collided with the eastbound gravel truck. Police say the 28 year old driver of the car was from the Saskatoon area. The driver of the truck was unharmed. Highway 5 was closed for a few hours to allow police to investigate.
