The Canadian Federation of Independent Business says the job vacancy rate in Saskatchewan in the 4th quarter of 2017 was unchanged at 2.3 per cent.
There were 77 hundred unfilled jobs. The job vacancy rate indicates the proportion of unfilled jobs relative to all available jobs in the private sector. It was 3 per cent for all of Canada in Q4. That was well above the 2.4 per cent recorded in the same quarter the year before. The rate in Saskatchewan was on the low side for the provinces. British Columbia was on top with a rate of 3.9 per cent. Prince Edward Island had the lowest rate at 1.6 per cent.
