Meadow Lake RCMP have released more information after an incident in that community on Monday.
Around 10:30 a.m. RCMP received a call of a 17-year-old boy at a residence with suspected gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital by EMS where he was pronounce dead. His name hasn't been released. A news release was sent out yesterday [mon], describing a potential person of interest who was considered armed and dangerous. This male has not been located and RCMP continue to ask the public not to approach him and report any information you have regarding this incident to police. He was described as 5"8" tall, 102 pounds, wearing a grey "burton" hat, glasses, a red hoodie with black writing and black Adidas track pants. Meadow Lake RCMP and RCMP Major Crime Unit North continue to investigative with the assistance of the RCMP General Investigation and Forensic Identification Sections and the Office of the Chief Coroner.
