Regina and Saskatoon are the fastest growing cities in the country according to Statistics Canada.
The Saskatoon region, which includes Warman and Martensville, grew by 2.8 percent from July 1st 2016 to July 1st of 2017, while the Regina area, including Lumsden, White City, Pilot Butte and Balgonie, grew 2.4 percent in that same time frame. Guelph, Ontario and the Ottawa-Gatineau region were the only other two areas to grow by two percent or more. Regina and Saskatoon both boast a young population compared to the rest of the country as well. Close to 88 percent of Saskatoon's population is under the age of 65, making them the second youngest city population wise in Canada, while Regina sits in fourth place with an 87 percent mark.
