For the second time in two months, a Regina woman's service dog caused a challenge in a business.
Ashley Nemeth, who is blind, was with her husband and her service dog eating lunch when a restaurant employee told her she had to leave.
In the end, she says she was allowed to stay.
Nemeth says this type of experience is all too common for her and happens, without exaggeration, every single day, "I think it's on the owners of the business to educate their staff, not only that, what disability looks like and what disability means but, you know, service dogs are allowed wherever the public is allowed."
She recommends sensitivity training be required for all employees who deal with the public. (CKRM)
