Saskatchewan's Premier has a couple of ideas for the upcoming North American Free Trade Agreement renegotiations.
This after the U.S. administration released its objectives for NAFTA which includes more access for U.S. agriculture and some Buy American exemptions. Brad Wall's suggestions are that Canada should also go in with a list of improvements and at the same time there should also be a list of trade retaliations. He doesn't believe the retaliations are needed, but that it puts us in a better bargaining position. The renegotiations are to begin next month. Premier Brad Wall says the Prime Minister has been handling the Canada-U.S. relationship very well, given the complexities and rhetoric since the American election.
