Members of the United Steelworkers Union who work for potash mines in the province converged in Saskatoon to talk about issues.
There are 2500 potash workers represented by USW in Saskatchewan. One of the major topics was the merger between Agrium and PotashCorp to become Nutrien. The USW sees this as an opportunity to strengthen the collaboration between all potash locals. Members with both Nutrien and Mosaic are getting ready to go into bargaining and the idea is to support each other's members in solidarity.
