From Many peoples, strength - it's Saskatchewan's motto and it's also the theme of the 30th annual Heritage Festival of Saskatoon.
The festival if from noon to 5 p.m. tomorrow at the Western Development Museum. Spokesperson for the event, Raeanne Van Beek, says there are over 40 exhibitors with lots for history buffs and for families and with live entertainment on 2 stages. The festival begins with an indoor parade, and the whole afternoon is free. The exhibits range from the Saskatoon Archaeological Society and the Saskatchewan Geneological Society to the Museum of Antiquities and Parks Canada. Van Beek also lists pioneer demonstrations, heritage games and a Family Zone at the Heritage Festival of Saskatoon. City of Saskatoon archivist Jeff O'Brien will be speaking in the afternoon on the City's history with World War I and World War II.
