It may be cold across most of Saskatchewan right now, with an extreme cold warning that stretches through the northern grainbelt and then into the southeast.
Environment Canada issues extreme windchill warnings when it hits -40 or colder, but at least we aren't the only ones. The north coast of B.C., much of Alberta, the western edge of Manitoba and northern Ontario are also experiencing colder than normal weather. Further east, southern Ontario and Quebec are expecting what Environment Canada is calling a flash freeze, with the temperatures plummeting. There is also a freezing rain warning for sections of New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland and Labrador. Each area of the country is dealing with its own winter challenges right now.
