It was a historic night in Saskatoon as the Saskatchewan Rush capped off their regular season home schedule with a 15-10 win over Toronto.
The Rush blew open a tied game in the third quarter, blanking the Rock 5-0 in that timeframe. Mark Matthews scored 4 times while both Matthews and Robert Church had 7 points for the home Rush in front of yet another sellout crowd at SaskTel Centre. Meanwhile, Tyler Carlson made 40 saves in a rare start for the Rush backup netminder.
With the win, the Rush clinch first place in the West Division and a bye in the first round of the playoffs. They also give head coach Derek Keenan his 122nd career win, which moves him to first in the NLL record book.
The Rush play a doubleheader against Colorado and Calgary to wrap up the regular season next week
