So I'm sure you heard recently about the Tide Pod challenge doing the rounds among teenagers. Apparently they are eating the things which of course is a health concern. Something you wouldn't think you would need to mention. I honestly can't imagine having enough time on my hands or being so unutterably bored as a teenager that I would have needed to engage in such an absurd activity in order to be titillated.
Time to give your kids some chores, do the dishes, do the laundry, do the vacuuming, do the dusting, pick something, cause they don't seem to be busy. Tell them to clean the garage, the kitty litter, no, not just their room. For crying out loud I would hope teenagers being responsible for their own space was automatic as opposed to getting a pat on the head...you've done such a good job, kind of task. If you don't expect more, you don't get more. And hey - it would teach them responsibility and understanding that sometimes life is about doing stuff you don't like. Or the satisfaction of a job well done. And having to tell them it’s a health risk? What - are we bringing up an entire generation with sub-par intelligence? Oh and stop blaming the internet, it all starts at home.
