For all the baggage that he brings with his on and off-field behaviour, Duron Carter finally showed Rider Nation why you put up with it. His nine catches, including the back-handed, one-hander that is amongst the greatest of all-time...if not THE GOAT...has changed the minds of a lot of Rider fans!
The victory over Toronto was a must-win. Now, at 2-and-3, the Green and White need to be no worse than 5-and-5, including a sweep of the Labour Day Classic and Banjo Bowl games over Winnipeg, when we all wake up on September 11th...in order to have a serious shot at being in the playoffs!
A serious message, complete with question, to Graham DeLaet...how did you overcome your short game yips? I've got the yips...and bad...with my chipping around the green. I took to using the "Texas Wedge" or my 3-hybrid for those shots...depending on the length of shot and length of grass I had to deal with in two rounds at The Legends over the weekend! By the way, thank you to Craig Prentice for providing me and my playing partners with the opportunity to play the exquisite lay-out at Warman, which is rapidly maturing right before my very eyes every time I go out!
