It's my Parting Shot for my the way I think baseball's playoff bracket will play out...
With the Toronto Blue Jays not in the mix, picking with my heart is out of the equation.
Starting with the American League where I think the Yankees will beat Minnesota in today's Wild-Card game. From there, I've got Cleveland ousting the Yanks in four games in one best-of-five Division Series while Houston will need just three games to eliminate Boston. The American League Championship Series will be a dandy with Cleveland needing a Game 7 win at home over Houston to go back to the World Series.
In the National League, I believe Arizona will advance over Colorado in the Wild-Card game. The Diamondbacks will then sweep the stumbling L-A Dodgers out of the post-season in one of the Division Series while Washington will end the Cubs' ideas of repeating as World Series champs by taking their N-L-D-S in four games. In the N-L-C-S, the Nationals' inability to close out games will rise back up and bite them as Arizona advances to the World Series in six games.
That will bring about a Cleveland-Arizona World Series with last year's runners-up from "The Mistake by the Lake" ascending to title in five games!
